Whether you’re gearing up for your next big adventure, seeking inspiration from travel professionals, want to hone your travel blogging skills or you’re just in the mood to travel vicariously, these six travel shows and conferences are here to help, happening all around the U.S. this year.

Travel & Adventure Show

Where & When: Chicago, February 19–20, 2022; Washington, D.C., February 26–27, 2022; Boston, March 5–6, 2022; Los Angeles, March 12–13, 2022; New York City, March 18–20, 2022; Dallas, April 2–3, 2022; Atlanta, April 23–24, 2022; Denver: April 30–May 1, 2022; San Francisco Bay Area, May 21–22, 2022.

The Travel & Adventure Show offers the general public a rare chance to hear from travel superstars like Samantha Brown, Rick Steves and The Points Guy founder Brian Kelly, experience cultural performances, chat with travel vendors and score exclusive travel deals. Prices start at $11 for a one-day adult admission or $18 for both days when purchased ahead of time online, otherwise it’s $16 for one-day tickets and $24 for two-days tickets. Children ages 16 and under get in free.

Women’s Travel Fest

Where & When: Portland, Oregon, and virtually; March 4–6, 2022.

Created by Kelly Lewis, founder of Go! Girl Guides, the Women’s Travel Fest is celebrating its ninth year with two days of panels and workshops geared toward inspiring women to get out there and see the world. Hear from incredible women who faced their fears to fulfill their travel dreams, learn tips for staying safe on the road and traveling on a tight budget, and find out where you should visit in 2022, among other topics. Otherwise, prices start at $397 per person for the all-weekend in-person pass, $199 per person for either Saturday or Sunday in-person admission; or $197 for a virtual ticket, which enables access to video recordings following the festival.


Where & When: New Orleans, March 12–13, 2022.

The world’s first outdoor travel festival for women (although all are welcome to attend), Wanderfest features inspiring talks by female travel heroes like Oneika Raymond of The Travel Channel, Patricia Schultz (author of “1,000 Places to See Before You Die”), and Deidre Mathis, the first Black woman to own a hostel in the U.S., as well as other activities like dance classes, cooking demonstrations, musical performances and a parade. General admission is $99, providing access to all weekend events. VIP tickets, available for $299, add perks like backstage access, welcome parties, an exclusive VIP tent and special excursions.


Where & When: Memphis, and virtually, April 29–May 1, 2022.

Geared toward those striving to turn their travel blogging hobby into a career, TravelCon aims to help attendees learn how to navigate the digital travel publishing industry, network with travel brands and tourism boards and hone their writing, blogging, video and photography skills. Founded by Matt Kepnes, creator of NomadicMatt.com and author of “How to Travel the World on $50 a Day,” the event also features talks by travel legends like Pauline Frommer, Anne and Mike Howard of HoneyTrek, Benet Wilson of The Points Guy and author Pico Iyer. Tickets are $399 per person for content creators, including access to weekend events, lunches, and a virtual pass, which can be purchased separately for $99 if you’re not up to traveling but would like access to recordings of panels and workshops.

TBEX North America

Where & When: Kennewick, Washington, and virtually, April 18–21, 2022.

Learn what it takes to grow your travel blogging or broadcasting business at TBEX events in the U.S. and around the world each year that allow creatives to meet with travel industry brands, tourism boards and social media experts. Tickets for bloggers, influencers, podcasters, YouTubers and members of the media start at $377, including access to all speaker sessions and speed networking events. Note that TBEX will also offer similar conferences in Marbella, Spain (March 15–17), Phuket, Thailand (November 15–18) and Lafayette, Louisiana (October 12–14) in 2022.

Women in Travel Summit

Where & When: Kansas City, and virtually, from May 13–15, 2022.

Bloggers and content creators who can provide proof of their blog or online channel can network with industry professionals, attend happy hour events, experience the media marketplace and learn how to improve their business skills at the Women in Travel Summit (WITS). Anyone is welcome to attend, though all events and activities are focused on the female travel experience.
