Art exhibit at Green Space Studios

Photographer and co-founder of Green Space Studios, Kristen Pierce, will be displaying photos from her most recent series, “Postured,” as well as other works on Friday, Nov. 19, from 5 to 10 p.m.

Pierce is a photographer who specializes in portraiture. Other participating artists include Katharine Santos and Mukti Patel.

Tickets will grant you access to complimentary food with vegan options available, and one free drink ticket to be used at the Brooklyn Blue, a café and lounge located down the street from Green Space. Green Space Studios and Brooklyn Blue have recently begun a partnership.

Hell Yea Comedy is back at Wawa Social Club

The Hell Yea Comedy Show is back on Friday, Nov. 19, at the Wawa Social Club in North Bergen from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m.

Hosted by Josh Wells, the lineup features Lee Valentin, Tania Lewis, Kellsie Cara Jones, Travis Grant, Chris Gassler, and Erin Wohlberg.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle and a free open mic to follow. There’s no cover charge, but there is a cash bar. Be warned though, there is no ATM.

Wawa Social Club is located at 1438 51st St., North Bergen.

Annual Hoboken Turkey Trot 5K

The annual Hoboken Turkey Trot 5K will take place at Pier A Park on Saturday, Nov. 20. This will be a USATF sanctioned event.

The 1 Mile Fun Run begins at 9 a.m. The 5K starts at 9:30 a.m. and will be officially timed. All runners will receive professional photos, official timed results, finish zone drinks and snacks, and free giveaways from event sponsors and vendors.

Holiday Bazaar and Festival

Surati’s annual Diwali Festival and Holiday Bazaar will take place on Saturday, Nov. 20, from noon to 10 p.m. at the Exchange Place Plaza.

Festival goers will be able to shop a variety of wares in an outdoor heated tent at this family friendly event. Kids will be able to take part in the Rangoli & Diya decorating workshops, listen to the Story of Diwali, or hang out at the Kids Corner.

You can also get a henna decoration, enjoy a wide variety of food and beverages from local vendors, and a cash bar. Entry is free. Exchange Place Plaza is located next to the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail station on Hudson Street in Jersey City.

Art House presents local art with Sawyer Smith Residential

Art House Gallery and Sawyer Smith Residential are teaming up for a pre-holiday art show on Sunday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m.

The public will be able to see local art at one of the listings at Park Hamilton Condominium in Jersey City. Light refreshments will be available and social distancing will be observed.

Featured artists for the show include Guillermo Bublik, Susan Isaac, Christine Barney, Ben Fine, and Andrea McKenna.
